another fabulous wallpaper...and a cute nephew!

It officially feels like Fall - so I need to get back to work on blogging. But serioulsy, who wouldn't be distracted if you could hang out with this kid everyday! My sister and her son just moved less than a mile from me, which is the best, though not so good for the home work enviroment as I always find an excuse to walk or bike over!

I wish I had the before and after of this dining room, which is still a work in progress. But don't you just love this fun wallpaper! The chairs are also new -- I need to get pics of the different fabric ideas for the seats and maybe you can help us decide which direction to go! I have had my favorite for a long time, but when your client is your sister and the whole family is weighing in things take a lot longer :)

New York and Atlanta

Here are some of my favorite finds from New York and Atlanta!

I am loving the Vaughan Chinoiserie Chest and eager to find a home for it!

Classic small etagere with shagreen inset- great for every living room next to your sofa!

Love these headboards...You can't go wrong with either of these styles. They would look perfect in a boys room. I wish I had a room for them because I could have purchased these off the floor for a bargain!!!

Made a stop at ABC Carpet and Home to drool over the Madeleine Weinrib dhurries.
I will take one of each design!

Must check out Parc Monceau in Atlanta. The best lamps, cool andirons, and overall fabulous finds. If you need help ask for Liz, she was great!

One of my favorite showrooms in Atlanta was Travis and Company because they had all my favorite textile lines under one roof. I had been searching to see these Katherine Rally fabrics in person for quite some time and here they were in front of me. A very cool husband and wife team left for Bali with their two children and started this line.

At the end of my Atlanta trip after four days of scouring the city, I found these simple side tables. Hmmm...i think the dark brownish/black one may find itself on its way to my home.

If you are planning a trip to Atlanta, let me know and I can send you a list of fabulous stores and art galleries.

My little jewel box!

Finally, my powder bath is done...well almost (I still need a mirror!) So happy with the navy blue lacquered cabinet and wallpaper with all my favorite colors. I really wanted to rip out the cabinet, though I chose the less expensive alternative - paint - and could not be more satisfied.  If you are having a down day, this is the restroom to use! P.S. check out the fun tissue box cover :)

I'm back and not sure where to begin!

I'm back and armored with LOTS of pictures and not sure where to begin!!! First a shout out to two new sites I love - Christina Murphy, a new york designer whose portfolio is AMAZING and next to a great new blog: http://www.aestheticoiseau.com/. Below I will share some highlights from both sites, plus some other favorites that I just can't resist sharing! (Sorry for jumping all over the place, but it's been a long time :)

Have I told you yet that I am obsessed with wallpaper! My heart is literally palpitating right now because I WANT to wallpaper my WHOLE house and I just get so excited about dreaming of which paper to put where. So this is my latest obsession....Clarence House...The Vase!

Love this kitchen: simple, refreshing, with a splash of sunshine!

On to my next OBSESSION...Headboards!
Christina Murphy did some clean, but fun shapes in the below pictures.

Suzanne Kasler's designed this fun girl's bedroom. I love the headboard's wavy top in a contrasting color. (Red and pink are not may favorite colors, but think the headboard design is awesome and the room works great together.) Suzanne has a new book out that is worthy of adding to your collection.

COLOR, COLOR, COLOR
Love this side table...comes in fabulous colors. It's from Oomph.
Someone out there that I know, please paint a room this color and make it high gloss!!!! I think the room needs jewel tone accents, but the walls are GORGEOUS!

Walls and crown molding all painted the same color is one of my favorite looks! I also really love the mirrors...anyone know who makes those?

Okay last but not least...i think i found my dining room chandelier, until a fancier one is in the budget...thank you Ballard!

Similar look, but a bit steeper in price.
